Mal Watlington is an executive consultant who works to enable individuals, work groups, and organizations facing critical decisions in the areas of strategy and organizational change to find answers that draw on their own creativity, while building a foundation for lasting value. He specializes in organization development and transformation, large-group facilitation, human capital management, and leadership coaching and development. In addition, Mal has deep experience in competitive intelligence, industrial sales and internet marketing, focusing on the removal of barriers to and enhancement of website conversion. His approach is characterized by inclusion, welcoming both client and colleague participation in the design and development of solutions to complex problems.
 
Mal has held both functional leadership and general management roles in public and private sector organizations, and has served as a senior consultant to firms in North America, Europe, and Australia. He was previously an Associate Partner at Accenture and Principal with CSC Index. Mal’s more than 25 years of industry experience includes high technology, manufacturing, public utilities, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, transportation, media, professional services, government, and the non-profit sector. He is a certified facilitator for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and SDI’s Personal Stress Navigator, is a graduate of the CTI Co-Active Coaching program, and is an NLP practitioner. Mal is an active member of SHRM, ASTD, the International Association of Facilitators, the Boston Facilitator Roundtable, the Mass Bay OD Learning Group, and the Human Resources Leadership Forum. Mal holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was elected to the Beta Gamma Sigma business honorary fraternity.
